This month, we are stepping inside a stunning residence in Ottawa’s historic Rockcliffe Park, where classic architecture meets modern, soulful design.
The flooring foundation of this home is our Logs End 7 ½” Saw Distressed Euro White Oak. These wide planks bring an immediate sense of history and warmth to the space. The “Saw Distressed” texture provides a subtle, tactile depth that feels authentic to the touch, while the Euro White Oak offers a sophisticated, neutral palette that anchors the home’s beautiful interior choices.
Design Highlights
From the intricate herringbone patterns bordered by delicate brass inlays to the seamless transition against reclaimed brickwork, this project showcases the incredible versatility of wide-plank oak.
In the dining room, the flooring provides a light, airy contrast to the dramatic, dark-panelled walls and velvet seating. Moving into the nooks and sun-drenched transitions, the natural grain of the oak complements the soft linens and marble accents, proving that true quality underfoot is the ultimate design essential.
Whether it’s a grand hallway or a quiet corner, this Rockcliffe Park home is a masterclass in how texture and material can elevate a living space.
