As Canada’s leading specialists in river-reclaimed, wide plank flooring, we craft lumber, felled generations ago and perfectly preserved underwater, into custom floors and millwork of unparalleled quality and beauty that offer a unique connection to our shared heritage.
Every Logs End Heritage wide plank floor starts with the recovery of a log that may have been felled 200 years ago – and which was hundreds of years old when it was cut. And before it becomes a character-filled Logs End Heritage floor, it will be at least another year older.
Our logs are cut soon after recovery. The cut lumber then air dries for several months before being kiln dried to industry standard moisture levels of 6-9%. Only then is it ready to begin being crafted into a Logs End Heritage floor. All in all, the entire process takes a year. And we think it’s time well spent.
But don’t worry; we have substantial inventory and are always ready to bring the warmth, beauty and character of our floors into your home.
We complement our river-reclaimed Heritage line with new-growth hardwood from our Collection line. Harvested only from green certified managed forests, this wood produces some of the most environmentally friendly – and beautiful – floors available. Every Logs End floor is crafted with special attention to the environment.
And to complete the offering, we also carry a full line of expertly crafted Millwork. Our custom paneling, mouldings and trim is available in both river recovered and new stock.
Sunken timbers do not rot or decay because there is a lack of oxygen and sunlight beneath the river. The wood is preserved as pristine as the day it was harvested years ago.
Our showroom located at 1520 Triole is unlike any other in the city. It is set up like a home with different rooms all with flooring, mouldings, paneling installed, creating a one of a kind shopping experience where the clients can truly appreciate the Logs End difference.
