Logs End wide plank, Heritage floors – made from our exclusive river-recovered pine and hardwoods such as yellow birch and red and white oak – are unsurpassed in natural beauty, exceptional quality, and unique history. This wood is the most environmentally friendly flooring material available.
The natural beauty of our wood – the tight grain and rich colours that come naturally to trees that grew slowly and straight beneath the dense forest canopies of centuries past and that have been long protected from the decaying effects of sun and air – cannot be replicated. Minerals in the water have leached most of the gums and resins from this wood leaving beautiful, unique colour tones and grain patterns not seen in the generic woods of today.
The quality of our river-recovered wood – its strength, durability and consistency – exceeds anything available from today’s new growth forests. Because this wood is 25% more dense then new forest grown wood, it is less susceptible to cupping and expansion and contraction issues.
The history of our wood – verified by the certificate of authenticity that comes with every order – offers our customers a unique connection to our shared heritage.
Logs End Heritage floors are available in a number of widths, from 3.25-9”. You can choose one width, or combine different widths to customize the look of your floor.
